Which way to go?

Posted in art, culture, life, lomo, lomography, love, photography, Uncategorized by tarantulatrash on May 13, 2010

I’m having trouble working out what I want to do with the next 18 months of my life. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you could continue in your current job, or you could look for a new one in the same profession. Or, if you wanted to, you could probably get an art-related experience with your experience. But I agree with Kellie; follow your heart!

That’s the problem anwa! I have a good job here, but my boyfriend lives in England. I’m not guaranteed a job if I move there.. so If I leave my current job and move, I risk not having a job at all!

    Have an exhibition,
whether in a café or on the internet of your photographs.

    This will give you:
    a) something to work for, a deadline.
    b) make you more confident of your work
    c) a great excuse for a party
    d) potentially a little bit of money
    e) you can say “I’m having an exhibition”

    yeah!

I would LOVE to. I’m not entirely sure my photos are the sort of thing people would like to see on a wall though.

    Self-employment!

    Contract work!

I’m a physiotherapist. Contract work in that field just.. doesn’t work! I’m also not long enough out of uni to have enough credibility to start my own practice.

Hook up with these guys and open an office in your *new* area (wherever that will be)

Thanks Blag Flag 🙂 The rumours we get over in Australia is that it’s really hard to get physio jobs in the UK as there are just too many physios and not enough jobs. I’m a paediatric physio, which may be a benefit (as it is usually an understaffed area) but it may also restrict my choices. I’d be working in a school, paediatric hospital, in early intervention or a paediatric private clinic. It’s hard to know what sort of opportunities there are without actually being in Leicester!
